summer wreath

Yes!... I've been waiting all summer to make one of these wreaths, but I wanted to wait until we moved into our new home. Then, things got busy and I completely forgot about it! I'm glad I remembered before summer's over.

Here is the first look at my recent craft project. I love bright summer colors, especially on these cute rosettes. Big thank you to my friend "Jungles" who helped me by wrapping the yarn around the base. That part took forever! Next time, I'm thinking of using a big ribbon!

And of course I captured a little bit of the process:

Here's the finished rosettes with the yarn making it's way around the styrofoam. (You can also see the freshly baked oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip cookies in the background, one of hubby's favorite)

A little close up of the rosettes.

Ta Da! the finished product!

These are so much fun and so easy to make. You can do many different combinations of flowers, birds, lanyards etc...

Can't wait to make an autumn themed wreath! But first, let's enjoy the rest of summer while it's still here.

Happy crafting everyone and stay cool!

Love, Jullie

Ahh my first blog post! how exciting!!!

For those who know me, you know how excited I get over the little things in life, and you can tell by the amount of exclamation points. Now you can add blogging to the list.

So why did I decide to blog? I love reading craft and house blogs. Maybe it's because we just bought a house and I need a lot of inspiration for decorating and organizing.

(that's us at "our" house for the first time)

I also want to bring out my inner Martha Stewart, yes... the queen of all things crafts related. So stay tuned! I have many projects just stored up in my mind, waiting to be brought out!

Thanks for reading!

Love, Jullie
